CARING FOR SOLID WOOD FLOORS
Your solid wood floor is a lifetime investment. Routine maintenance should include protecting the finish from moisture and heavy wear that can cause damage to the surface such as scratching, gouging and wear.
Always clean your wood floors with a professional wood floor cleaning product recommended by a wood flooring professional. Not doing so may void any warranty or guarantee on the product.
- Place protector pads under all furniture legs on wood floor
- Use area rugs in high traffic areas. Do not leave wet spots on rugs.
Keep them dry and clean
- Perform routine maintenance that includes sweeping, vacuuming with a soft brush attachment, or dust mopping with soft cloth.
- Do not use a wet mop.
- Do not use ammonia
- Do not use dust cleaners
- Stocking feet are best for wood floors.
- Immediately wipe spills with a soft, dry cloth
- Oil soaps, improper cleaning products and other unknown contaminates can cause assured re-coat failure.
